Sr. Sales Representative

We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Sales Representative to join our team in the Chicago, IL location.

The perfect candidate will be familiar with delivering technical solutions to enterprise accounts on the Microsoft platform, preferably Data Management and Business Intelligence.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for targeting potential clients, growing quality pipeline, winning profitable deals and managing sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value. Collaboration with a Business Development Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Generate business leads to achieve short and long term revenue and profitable growth through:
    • Network/cold call/follow up leads to find new business opportunities.
    • Engage prospective clients to identify and document business objectives and formulate creative yet pragmatic solutions.
    • Grow and develop accounts through follow up.
    • Leverage Strategic Partners and the Microsoft Midwest District Sales Organizations.
    • Attend tradeshows and conferences to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of:
    • SolidQ’s services
    • Local Competitive Market
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to determine the optimal approach to achieving revenue and margin goals as a team.
  • Collaborate with Services Delivery Managers to identify the optimal resources to staff engagements.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to create mutually beneficial client contracts and agreements.
  • Proposal creation and delivery in collaboration with the Services Delivery Manager.
  • Handoff projects to the Service Delivery Management team to ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure all required information is available in a timely manner to turn executed contracts into client engagements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager on marketing and lead generation initiatives
  • Support Marketing Programs for brand development, market awareness, positioning, and demand generation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled and ad-hoc internal meetings.


Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years relevant work experience in selling technology solutions

Managing Consultant


We are currently seeking an experienced Managing Consultant to join our team in the Atlanta, GA location.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading project delivery teams in the envisioning and execution of client engagements and partner with the sales team to expand client relationships specific to Microsoft’s SQL Server, Business Analytics, Data Management or Development platforms and related technologies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Demonstrate internal and client-facing leadership surrounding technology and services delivery best practices and methodologies. Mentor and lead other SolidQ Consultants as required.
  • Work on engagements with a client on site to assist in the ramping up of their team to the relevant technology platform(s).
  • Work with clients to define requirements, make recommendations, and develop solutions.
  • Lead a project team of Consultants and/or client resources to deliver a solution for the client – project leadership roles will include program management, solution architect and/or technology tier expert, including solution development, as appropriate.
  • Oversee case study production for each client engagement.
  • Play a lead, primary role in the overall project success and client satisfaction.
  • Build strategic personal relationships with key client contacts and obtain a thorough understanding of the organization, culture and business objectives.
  • Lead the client in understanding how our technical services will help achieve the defined business objectives and financial impact.
  • Engage in a technical presales capacity to help support the sales process.
  • Maintain Microsoft or other vendor certifications as valuable to SolidQ.
  • Work with Microsoft and other vendors to develop content such as authoring white papers, developing training.
  • Build/maintain a social media presence including but not limited to blogging, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.



Education and Experience

  • Experience: 15+ years technology related experience, plus 5+ years client-facing consulting leadership experience.
  • Education: Higher level education and relevant certifications is an asset.


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to lead complex problem solving
  • Experience with translating technical subjects to non-technical business stakeholders and executives
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to present oneself as well as the Company in a professional manner
