Seminar Description
This whole-day seminar is dedicated to the most advanced Business Intelligence feature in SQL Server 2008 (including 2008 R2) – to Data Mining.
Not all analyses are plain and simple. To find patterns and rules in a dataset, we need more comprehensive analyses. Algorithms for such advanced analyses are known under name Data Mining. SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) includes data mining as well. We will examine our demo data with algorithms provided with SSAS.
Data mining looks very simple when it is presented on various conferences. However, in real life, you need quite advanced knowledge in order to mine the data efficiently. During the seminar, attendees are going to learn how to make an overview and gather basic understanding of your data even before you start to mine it. In addition, we are going to explain how the algorithms work, how they can find patterns. Finally, we are going to discuss how to use data mining in your applications.
