Mr. Moran has 19 years of data management and data architecture experience and has personally helped more than 100 customers design, build and implement highly scalable and performant SQL Server environments.
Mr. Moran has been a prominent leader in the Microsoft community since becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional 17 years ago. His community roots start with co-founding the Northern Virginia SQL Server Users Group (NOVASQL) in 1994 and serving as its President for 13 years. Mr. Moran served two years on the inaugural PASS Board of Directors. He was one of the world’s first SQL Server Most Valuable Professional, serving for 13 years. Mr. Moran is an editor and columnist for SQL Server Magazine, was the Content Chair for SQL Server Connections for seven years, and is currently the SQL Server Content Chair for the SharePoint and SQL Server Best Practices Conference.
Mr. Moran co-founded Solid Quality Mentors (SolidQ) in 2002 and has been proud to see the company grow to include more than 100 of the world’s top Microsoft experts delivering solutions and education to more than 1000 customers around the world. His role as Managing Partner is an exciting mix of technology, executive leadership, and strategic vision. In addition to other duties, Mr. Moran heads SolidQ’s relational database technology business unit within the United States.
